MAPT Awards & Recognition

MAPT is proud and honored to recognize our members who have gone above and beyond with the awarding of the Administer of the Year and Distinguished Service Awards. Each award has its own criteria and qualification for how the candidate not only served their own community but how they have served the MAPT community.

Administer of the Year

This award is to honor MAPT members who have exhibited outstanding leadership and professional conduct in the school transportation field, both in the district they represent as well as the State of Missouri. The award also recognizes leaders who have contributed to the advancement of pupil transportation supervision as a profession on a continual basis. Several criteria have been developed for this award and are listed below.

Guidelines for the MAPT Administrator of the Year Service Award are:

  1. Candidate must be a member of MAPT, Professional Status.
  2. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in pupil transportation or a related field.
  3. Candidate must be in an administrative, managerial, or supervisory capacity and be actively engaged in the daily operation of pupil transportation.

 

Distinguished Service Award

This award is to honor those in our organization who have contributed to the transportation field and the MAPT on a continual basis. This award is not intended to compete with the Administrator of the Year Award; rather it is to be used to honor those with a long-standing commitment to our field. Several criteria have been developed for this award and are listed below.

Guidelines for the MAPT Distinguished Service Award are:

  1. Candidate must be a member of MAPT, Professional Status.
  2. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in pupil transportation or a related field.
  3. Candidate must be in an administrative, managerial, or supervisory capacity and be actively engaged in the daily operation of pupil transportation.

MAPT recognizes those that service in the trenches through our Driver of the year and Continuing Education Grant. 

Driver of the Year

We know each year many drivers go above an beyond the call to duty. We would like to hear about them and if selected recognize them in a special way in front of their peers. 

Continuing Education Grant

MAPT would like to help those wishing to continue their education to advance their career in student transportation. This grant provides the winner with complimentary registration and lodging to attend the next Conference and Trade show after winning
